Justine Henin to announce retirement on Wednesday
Belgian media report that the world’s top ranked woman, 25-year-old Justine Henin plans to make her retirement on Wednesday. It could mean she is retiring immediately, at the end of the season. or limiting her schedule.I hope she doesn’t have health related issues.
That is terrible new for tennis fans. Will we ever see another world no.1 that plays one-handed on both backhand and forehand?
I would hate to see the women’s game dominated by six foot plus two-handed players with big serves.
I am still stunned. It takes some courage though to say “au revoir” in this manner. As to many women’s tennis fans, this news really shocked and saddened me.
